“Integrated Ozone technology based solution” For Shopping Malls

Chemtronics has successfully designed and installed solution to integrate and retrofit with the present and conventional system with proven and time tested ozone based technology. Its technology integration gives buy back of CapEx in reasonably short period depending upon the application and customised solution.

Ozone is one of the most advance technologies and can be integrated with great advantage in treatment of Water, Waste Water and air treatment in shopping malls.

IN MALLS:-
• Many people favor to spend their time in shopping malls.

Good indoor air quality is, therefore, very essential to shoppers. The number of shopping malls contributes to increase bad indoor air quality. Unlike the popular perception that an enclosed air conditioned zone is free of all pollutants and dirt, it has been discovered that indoor air is more polluted than the outdoor air and is amongst the top five environmental risks as listed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

The indoor air pollutants included carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), total hydrocarbons (THC), formaldehyde (HCHO), respirable particulate matter (PM10) and total bacteria count (TBC).
• These malls do not offer the occupants any control over their environment, ie they cannot open windows if the store feels stuffy and unaired. The only option us turn on the exhaust fans, or leave the room, if the space is filled with dust, tobacco smoke, fine carbon dust from copying machines, etc. Also these malls have a particular need to ensure that their premises are kept clean so as to allow a soothing ambiance to shoppers.
• These problems are associated with symptoms that are particularly brought about by contamination of the indoor environment, by the growth bacteria, fungi, mold, viruses and mildew (collectively termed micro-organisms) spread through the circulation of air exhaled, as well as from food material, etc. These pollutants may result in health problems like irritation of eyes, blocked nose and throat, headaches, dizziness, lethargy, fatigue etc.
• Ozone eliminates bacteria, mold, mildew and fungus.
• Due to the strong oxidizing power of ozone it is an extremely useful tool in the field of fire and flood restoration. In a smoke and fire damaged building ozone will eliminate smoke odors in the carpets, curtains, wood, cupboards, clothing, etc.
• Ozone is effective for preventing the growth of bacteria and mildew in a bathroom, as well as neutralizing any unpleasant bathroom odors.
• Due to the strong oxidizing power of ozone it is extremely useful for oxidizing and eliminating paint fumes and odors directly after a room or building have been painted.

IN AIR CONDITIONING: -

• By treating the air conditioning system with ozone, you can prevent the buildup of bacteria and fungi this will eliminate bad smell and the spread of health problems such as, allergies, rashes ,colds, viruses & legionnaires.

IN HVAC: -

• Ozone has been successfully reduced smell, bacteria, mould, mildew and other mi.cro organisms from the HVAC system. Ozone is increasingly being used in HVAC system to improve the indoor air quality and also to improve the energy efficiency of the HVAC cooling coils.
• Controlled quantity of ozone introduces in the AC Ducts Eliminates Toxic gasses, odors smoke by oxidation and microbes & virus.

IN COOLING TOWER: -

• Cooling tower water requires extensive treatment. During Cooling Tower water treatment, three main factors must be controlled.
• Corrosion of pipes and heat exchanger units.
• Scaling in pipes and (mainly) in heat exchangers.
• Microbial growth (bacteria algae).
• These three aspects cannot be viewed separately. Conventional treatment techniques are mainly applications of chemical biocides, corrosion inhibitors and scale inhibitors. Ozone is a reliable alternative that controls the above-mentioned factors sufficiently.
• Makes the water crystal clear, eliminating all turbidity.
• Dissolves the scale and inhibits further scaling, hence improving heat transfer and further saving on chemicals and pollution.
• Reduced Chemical Usage – Chlorine can substitute for several chemicals in a cooling tower treatment package, reducing and possibly eliminating the use of such chemicals.
• Increases dramatically Heat Transfer Efficiency.
